Stuck on your brand’s socials? Need some inspiration, or looking for new trends to try out? Can’t face the impending doomscroll that comes every time you “research” trends? Not to fear! The Butter Popcorn team did it for you and compiled a list of easy, hot-off-the-press ideas that you can try out for your business this week.
Food Jutsu Social Trends to try out
Inspired by the widely popular anime Jujutsu Kaisen and Naruto, this trend lets you “summon” food, drinks, or really anything you like, totally from thin air! It’s all over our feeds at the moment and (luckily) is simple enough for anyone to try out.
So how do you replicate it? Start by making some anime hand signals, either by stealing some directly from the show or creating your own. Then, to the beat of the trending sound, abruptly freeze in your final anime position, cut the camera, and (without moving from your pose!) have a friend or colleague place whatever you want to summon into your hands. Press record again, and edit your 2 clips together to bring the ninja magic to life.
The unexpected hand movements are a great visual hook, and the anticipation from wondering what will pop into existence next keeps your audience engaged and enjoying your content. Win-win!

“dont let coworkers ruin your day...ruin theirs first!"
Now, this next trend is a lot of fun, for both your viewers to watch, AND for your social team to film. With a trending audio, cause chaos for your coworkers before they get the chance to disrupt your day first.
To do it yourself, record a colleague in your workplace, lip-syncing to the audio (or record your own) as they give some solid workplace advice: “Don’t let coworkers ruin your day… ruin theirs first!”
While they do, have them mess with another unsuspecting staff member. This could be sending papers flying from their hands, switching off their computer, or rolling them away on their office chair. Have fun and be inventive with this! The more unusual, visually striking, and dramatic, the more successful.

You didn't know TikToks were a part of the job description
Social media marketing has silently become a big part of most job roles… even if it's not exactly mentioned in the interview. Speak to the dutiful staff members who never imagined they’d be learning a TikTok dance on the clock, but get roped into recreating every crazy trend anyway.
This one is easy enough to do. Just show a behind-the-scenes POV of your workplace’s “Social Media Girl” (learn more about her in last week's post) as she records and directs a weary yet willing coworker. Throw on a trending sound, like in the examples, or record your own. Maybe instructions from your social team or comedic objections from movie star staff members?
We like this trend especially because of its versatility, working for any industry (what business doesn’t need social media nowadays?), and its simplicity. It’s simple to create, simple to understand and relate to, and simple to enjoy.

Social Media Girl is Out of Office
It’s no secret that Gen-Z workers are unserious queens. This trend pokes fun at modern work life by combining classic corporate jargon with casual body language.
To replicate it, have your on-screen talent lie on a work desk/table on their stomach, kicking up their legs like a gossipy teenager on their phone. Channel those quintessential 80’s “gossiping on the landline” scenes we all love so much (Sixteen Candles, Heathers… we fully encourage a movie marathon to prepare.)
With a buzzword-y caption like “Following up on leads”, “Discussing the client's ROI”, or “Closing the sale”, this trend gives your audience a quick laugh at corporate culture, while still demonstrating your niche and skills.
